Look down, do you see those love handles? Where did they come from? Do you see your toes? Where did they go? How would you like to lose the waist fat, improve your health and sex life. What is the best way to lose weight? Dr. Oz has what he calls “The Beer Gut Diet”. Lose the waist fat, beer gut, but still enjoy the beer. Does this sounds to good to be true? The whole idea here is to control the portions and the calories of the bad foods and replace it with healthy alternatives.

How are you going to do this? It is a simple idea and one I find easy to follow because the required changes are small. Things like drinking light beer instead of regular beer. Another suggestion is to have thin crust pizza. Thick crust pizza has many more calories and carbohydrates than thin slice. Put things like pesto, sun dried tomatoes, Tomato sauce (has lycopene), olives and anchovies on your pizza to get the health benefits these foods provide. Eating healthy snacks like fruit, nuts, popcorn and humus will help to get rid of that beer belly and improve your well being. Increase your intake of fruits and vegetables to fill you up and say no to sweets. That is the one key to increase your success. One of the most important things you can do and the easiest, is to eat breakfast. Why is breakfast so important? Your body is starving when you wake up. It has been sleeping and doing very little for 7-10 hours. It has been conserving energy, calories, so you need to do things that lets your body know that it is alright to start burning calories again. To do this you need to give it some calories to burn, eat something and a reason to burn them, exercise. Breakfast can be as simple as a cup of tea or coffee and peanut butter on whole grain toast or as big as bacon and eggs. The only requirement is that you eat something.

The third component of the Beer Gut Diet is exercise, the reason for your body to burn the fat. I fine that the best time to exercise is when I first wake up. This gets me going, energizes me and makes me hungry. If you are going for a waist loss I suggest that you include some crunches in your core exercise plan so you have those six pack abs once the belly fat is gone. Three times a week or more, do at least half an hour of walking, jogging, swimming or biking, increase the activities as your strength and endurance improves.

One thing not in the Beer Gut Diet that will greatly your results and health is that you must drink water. Water is what is going to flush the excess out and help your body cleanse its self. If you follow these tips you will be on your way to healthy waist loss of course one of the healthiest diets to follow and keep the waist off is the Mediterranean diet. This is a good and easy way to begin to take care of your self and taking care of yourself is the best way to lose weight.

On his tv show, Dr. Oz said, the way to know if you have

the waist size that is right for you, is to see if your waist

is half or less than your height. This will tell you if you

need to work on your waist. The way to measure this is

to stand up straight take a deep breath and pull in your

stomach. Put the measuring tape around your waist at

your belly button and read the answer.

I did this and found that my waist is 35″, exactly half my

height. This is a huge improvement from the 41″and 217

lbs. I was at. I will keep working to get my waist down

even lower. My goal is 33″ which should take care of my

love handles.

The way to do this is to eat right, drink water and

exercise, said Dr.Oz. The things that you need to eat

must be to be nutritious. Preferably deeply colored fruits

and vegetables and you can have as much of these as you

like. Dr. Oz has often talked about putting these things in

to the blender for a quick meal or snack. The main things

to avoid are saturated fats and sugars. Doing these 2

things will get you started on your healthy waist loss

program, which is more important to your health than weight loss and really what you want.

If you want to really kick start the process then using a

waist loss system that includes supplements like

Acaiberry, appetite suppressants and colon cleansing will

increase your results by 2-3 times.

What we should be asking is why are people so hungry? Is it because the food tastes good? Most of the stuff that makes us over eat and fat is greasy and gross. So why is it we want more after we eat it? It is because it is acting like a drug and making us more hungry. It is the effect that happens with coffee, pop and alcohol, these liquids dehydrate us causing us to become more thirsty, there for we will drink more of them. What we need to do is drink water when we are thirsty and for every cup of coffee, pop or alcohol we consume have a cup of water. This will help keep us hydrated and cut down on the hangovers and headaches. The same thing is happening with our food. You can eat and eat and eat and eat but if you don’t get the vitamins and nutrients your body is craving you will never stop being hungry. It is the food that is not fulfilling the needs of our bodies and it all started about 100 years ago when we began to eat packaged foods. A 100 years ago almost no one was fat & the ones that were usually had a disease or illness. Back then if you wanted to see someone fat you had to go to the circus or freak show, now overweight people are on every street in every town. If we keep going the way we are going in another 100 years you may have to go to a freak show to see thin people. Think I am wrong, that liquids don’t make you thirsty and food doesn’t make you hungry. Watch the video and see what the doctors say. You can eat as much as you want it just has to be the right food, real food. If you need to lose weight and would like some help or to speed up the process there are many products that may be a benefit, acaiberry, appetite suppressants like hoodia & caralluma and colon cleansing products have been effective individually or combined as part of a weight loss system. Exercise and the right foods will have you to looking and feeling the way you would like.

Columbia University Medical Center study, published in JAMA, found that there is a huge reduction in the risk of Alzheimer’s in participants that exercised and followed a Mediterranean diet. The risk was reduced when the participants only did exercise or only followed the diet but the most amazing results were when exercise and the Mediterranean diet were combined. The study was conducted by Dr. Scarmeas and colleagues.

The study found that those subjects who were very physically active had a 33 percent risk reduction of Alzheimer’s; those who adhered more strongly to a Mediterranean-type diet had a 40 percent risk reduction. In addition, Dr. Scarmeas and his colleagues found that there was a gradual decreasing risk for Alzheimer’s in study participants who were reporting that they were both exercising a lot and following a diet closer to the Mediterranean-type: those subjects had a 60 percent reduction in their risk for developing Alzheimer’s disease.

“So it seemed that the more that they were doing in terms of both diet and exercise, the lower was their risk for the disease,” said Dr. Scarmeas.

This is one more benefit of a Mediterranean diet and exercise to add to the list of proven benefits that included cardiovascular health, improved brain function, weight control & loss and lower risk of diabetes. read more…

Celebrities always look fabulous. Whether appearing in television or films or strutting down the red carpet during movie premiers and awards, they never cease to fascinate us with their larger than life presence. The truth is, it takes a lot of effort to look the way they do, and being the public figures that they are, they cannot afford to slack off when it comes to taking care of their physical appearances. Their livelihood largely depends on how they look. Aside from the clothes, the hair and the makeup, celebrities have to take good care of their bodies.

So it is no surprise that these stars have their own secrets when it comes to staying fit and gorgeous. Their health agenda can range from extreme workouts to well-planned meals. Who doesn’t want to know their secrets in staying absolutely sexy? Here are some of the diet secrets of seven women celebrities.

1. Jennifer Aniston
The star of the phenomenal television show Friends not only mesmerized audiences with her adorable comic sense and her famous hairstyle, she was also known for having one of the sexiest bodies in Hollywood, as she appeared in countless magazine covers. To stay trim, Jennifer follows the 40:30:30 diet method. The diet consists of:

40% Low glycemic carbohydrates
-Foods such as beans, fruits and vegetables, legumes

30% lean proteins
-Tofu, fish, chicken, turkey, beef and low fat dairy products

30% essential fats
-nuts and seeds, fish and olive oils

It is essential that every meal should contain macronutrients to attain the balance of hormones and maximum weight loss.

2. Kate Hudson
The gorgeous daughter of actress Goldie Hawn gained 60 pounds during her pregnancy, which she needed to shed quickly before commencing on her next film. From her previous eating plan, she switched to a higher protein diet. She consumed high protein meals in smaller portions, and she combined this diet with an exercise program that includes weight training and cardiovascular workouts. After getting a lot of flak because of her post-pregnancy figure, Kate removed all that baby weight in only four months and has gained abdominal muscles that gained the envy of many in Hollywood.

3. Oprah Winfrey
As one of the most successful talk-show hosts in the world, there is no question that Oprah needs to maintain her physical appearance for her millions of audiences. Known as one of those celebrities who are constantly battling weight gain, she has recently toned up her figure by combining a regular exercise regime and diet plan. Oprah works out five days a week, spending 30 minutes on the treadmill and doing free weights. Her eating plan consists of legumes, fish, nuts, fruits and vegetables, chicken and dairy products that are low fat. She limits her consumption of white sugar and flour. Oprah also credits her trim figure to her habit of not eating anything after seven in the evening.

4. Gwyneth Paltrow
A lot of people may find it hard to believe that the perpetually slim Academy award-winning actress actually needs to diet. Gwyneth actually follows a healthy eating plan that resembles Oprah’s, avoiding sugar and white flour. She usually follows a macrobiotic diet, eating foods like vegetables, brown rice, and lean meat. She also eliminated dairy from her diet, and does yoga everyday.

5. Madonna
The pop star known as the Material Girl has always flaunted a body that is to die for, and has become a true fitness paragon over the years. She keeps herself in tip-top shape by having Ashtanga Yoga, and follows a strict diet that mostly shuns junk foods. She adopted a macrobiotic eating plan that includes organic foods rich in lean protein.

6. Claudia Schiffer
The bodacious German supermodel eats salad and steamed vegetables for dinner and eats only fruits before the afternoon. While on locations, she prefers to eat black grapes and drinks tomato juice and herbal tea.

7. Christie Brinkley
Long-time supermodel maintains her all-American good looks by being a vegetarian. She does not keep junk foods of any kind inside her home to make sure that she does not eat them when cravings occur. She snacks on sweet potatoes in place of candy bars, and she adopts a liquid juice diet when she needs to slim down fast.

Celebrities are just like ordinary people. They need to maintain their figures just like anyone else, and there is more pressure on their part since they are constantly in the public eye. Ordinary folks can have celebrity-like bodies, too, and by following these diet and fitness plans, they can also look like red-carpet worthy.
